Name: Dafydd ab Ieuan ab Iorwerth
Date of death: 1503
Gender: Male
Occupation: bishop of St Asaph
Area of activity: Religion

According to the pedigrees, he was descended from Tudur ap Rhys Sais. The family was seated in Trefor, near Llangollen, perhaps in ' Gavella Rosseriet ' (G. P. Jones, Extent of Chirkland, 15).

He became warden of Ruthin and abbot of Valle Crucis, succeeding in the latter office John ap Richard (Peniarth MS 176 (53)). As abbot, he was a liberal patron of the bards, and both Gutun Owain and Guto'r Glyn bear eloquent testimony to his hospitality.

On the death of Michael Diacony he was promoted to the see and consecrated by archbishop Morton on 26 April 1500. He died three years later.
